Our behaviour shows who we are. What family we come from and what values we believe in. Etiquette is all about being considerate towards people we deal with in our daily life - in office, at home or in public places. For example; before parking my car in front of or back of another car which is parked there already, I ought to consider if this would cause any problem to the person whose way I am blocking because it is so convenient for me to just leave my car there. Or when I see a person crossing a busy road - I; instead of slowing down my car I speed up so I do not have to wait or slow down while he is trying to cross the road. Even worse; I can see the traffic is at a standstill because of the traffic lights but I ignore it and start honking....... Do we not witness such scenes daily? Well; etiquette or good behaviour is all about "Doing unto others as we would have others do unto us"... Small things; we need to remember and teach our children too. They are our extensions; they learn what they see us do. Up to us: what future we give to our children and what world we live behind for them live in.
